Snow Shoer killed in the Vosges after Cornice Collapse
A snow shoer was killed at Hohneck in the Vosges after a cornice gave way, he apparently had gone onto the cornice to take photographs of his friends.

The walker, Dominique Bousendorfer from the Moselle region, was buried by the snow debris. The mountain police based in Munster were alerted at 14h30 and were quickly on the scene by helicopter but were unable to revive the 33 year old. The police have warned people about the stability of snow on ridges and north-east facing couloirs in the Alsace area.
Meanwhile a happy ending to the disappearance of 9 year old Kevin in the Ballon d’Alsace ski resort at midday on Saturday. Missing since Saturday lunchtime after skiing with older friends a search involving 50 firemen and police found the boy, safe and sound, at 10h15 on Sunday morning.
